Past & Current Projects:

Fingal Head Coastcare has transformed a sand mined, Bitou dominated degraded area into naturally regenerating woodlands, forests, dune and headland vegetation, as well as protecting and maintaining littoral rainforest and wetland remnants – a total of 20 hectares.

During its 21 years operation, volunteers built and operated an extensive nursery; developed propagation techniques for indigenous species; plus planting the area and supplying local Coastcare groups and individuals.

We run an ongoing program with the local school – collecting seeds, propagating, educating and assisting with the planting and establishment of School Bush Tucker Garden . We also run community information sessions and tree planting days.
